So its April something and we have been in lockdown for I don't even wanna know how long. Its been four weeks, for christ sake. Take a breath ohhhh and okay. Composed. I am guessing that everyone has been doing exactly what I have been doing - endless TV. Well those who have been put on furlough anyway. Furlough what a strange word.

To everyone else who has kept working I take my hat off to you. I would like to take a second to say thank you to all the key workers out there. You are doing a great job at keeping the country going.

So this Lockdown post is all about 10 series that you should definitely be watching in your spare time. Which in my case is all my time. Don't worry I will also be adding where you can find these series and the age certificate. There is no particular order other than what came up first on my Netflix History so please don't hate on the order.

10. Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness - Netflix - 15 - Documentary

When someone first mentioned this series to me I was super against watching it. But oh my christ (Pam reference) its just flabbergasting how this can actually be someones life. Of course its in America and literally anything is possible. Even crackhead Zoo owners apparently. Its got murder conspiracy, tigers and polygamy. What more could you want? This is coming in at number 10 because its the most watched series on Netflix at the moment so odds are you have already watched it. Need to chat about this one with someone, its just crazy!

9. New Amsterdam - Amazon prime - 15 - Medical Drama

Lets just get the cheesy, dramatic and totally inaccurate medical drama over and done with. We all love them; Greys Anatomy, Chicago Med and I hate to go this low but Casualty. This is all about new Amsterdam Public Hospital, which no is not a real hospital but it is based on Bellevue hospital in New York. The oldest public hospital in the whole of the US. Its drama but god it gets you right in the feels. I hate to admit this again but oh boy it just leaves me in floods of tears every episode.

8. How I Met Your Mother - Netflix - 15 - Romantic Comedy

So kids this is a story about how I met your mother. A very long story but still a very exciting one at that. Some people compare it to Friends or The Big Bang Theory but yet some people would completely slate me for making that comparison. Everyone sat around a sofa discussing all the drama that has happened throughout the day. Its a what I call a "brain fart series" you don't need to concentrate just sit there watch the series unfold. How I Met Your Mother made me laugh, cry and question life. From the true romancer Ted to the single playboy Barney. It shows different walks of life in New York city. Please watch it, its Legen.. wait for it... dary.

7. Orange Is The New Black - Netflix - 18- Drama

I Looove a lesbian drama. The L word, Lip Service and Gentleman Jack all what I thought were great dramas but I can see why not everyone liked them. Orange is the new black covers all ways of life and how they can all end up in the same situation. The series does have its funny moments however it does cover real issues that occur in the U.S prison system. The series has created groups that are trying to solve these issues. Such as the the Poussey Washington fund. But the real reason I love it is 'Alex Vause' - her romance with Piper Chapman just make me weak! I mean it just makes me smile. This season does contain a lot of sexual scenes and drug taking, dealing and smuggling so maybe watch this when your parents are not in the room or on the flip side when the kids have gone to bed.

6.The Peaky Blinders - BBC iPlayer/Netflix - 18- Crime Drama

By order of the peaky fucking blinders I demand you watch this series. Based in Birmingham in 1919 Thomas Shelby and his gang the Peaky Blinders cause havoc wherever they can and whenever they want to. With references to gambling, drugs, prostitutes and heavy drinking maybe this isn't one to watch with Grandma but please sit back relax and watch Thomas shelby steal your heart. He did mine. If you like peaky blinders you will also like World on fire which is also made by the BBC.

5. The Stranger - Netflix - 15 - Crime TV Drama

Confession: I finished the stranger series in two days and the episodes are an hour long. Oops. But it really does keep you guessing making you watch the next episode so you know what that last cliff hanger was all about and ending that only the writers could have known about. All about Adam Price and his missing wife. I must admit, I really didn't want to watch this series as it's not my normal 'thing' but god damn it was good and made me want to watch other series such as Th Unforgotten and Liar (I ended up watching this - also brilliant!). This series is very similar to another BBC drama called Safe and The Bodyguard. Sorry for the poor Gif attempt ... apparently The Stranger doesn't exist in their library.

4. YOU - Netflix - 18 - Crime TV drama

Another drama, but another good drama I promise. You is all about Joe and well, you. We later as watchers learn to find out all about you. The series is narrated as if we the viewer is inside Joes head learning all about you. But I cant imagine anyone reading this would really allow Joe to do those horrible things and get away with it. Would you? One bit of advice from me - a hat does not make you invisible. I promise.

3. Sex Education - Netflix - 18 - Teen TV Drama

Who Loves a series all about the awkwardness of growing up. I do, however I don't recall giving therapy or being half as awkward as the kids in Sex education. Maybe I can't remember. Or I have just mentally blocked it out. The show covers all topics LGBT+, stereotyping and racism. The show really brings it home when you think back to High school. All seriousness aside its hilarious and one simple quote has been my motto to get me and many other through the pandemic "wash your hand's you dirty pig". A similar series is Big mouth which is a cartoon that covers similar issues but adding more humour.

2. Ozark - Netflix - 18 - Crime TV drama

Drugs, cartel, money laundering and strip clubs. This is all you need to know before you start watching ozark. A family from Chicago move to the Missouri Ozarks to launder money that belongs to the Mexican cartel. They just keep getting involved with the wrong people and things don't get any easier. A serious drama with not a lot funny to say about it... its some pretty heavy shit.

1. Queer eye - Netflix - 12 - Lifestyle

Damn does my sass level go from 1 to 1000 after watching a couple of episodes. Its an up beat program about the fab 5 who go and help different people from all walks of life become a better version of themselves both physically and mentally. They help with home interiors, hair, fashion, food and most importantly mental health. Please come visit me fab 5! Makes me feel good, makes me cry and just makes me appreciate how good some people can be to each other. Then I go outside ...

This list was extremely hard to make, I have referenced/mentioned more series throughout this list as they all come pretty good (apart from Casualty). Netflix is a great investment and if you don't have it already, where have you been living?! Let me know know what you guys think and if you have any other recommendations please do send them my way!

Until next time buddy's,
