A grand place to get boozy, eat some great food, take some amazing pictures and even a couple of romantic spots too.

Iveagh Garden hotel - Dublin

I stayed in Dublin for a total of 3 days and two nights. I flew into Dublin airport using Ryanair. Lets just say flying Ryanair was an experience... an experience which also involved a stag do and a 30th birthday party. Thank god its only an hour flight.

“Stunning hotel 5 minutes walk from the main high street in Dublin”

Our hotel on the other had was stunning and only 5 minutes walk from the main high street in Dublin. The Iveagh Garden Hotel was a interior designers dream as told to me by my partner in crime for this trip.

Lets Hit The Town

After a quick nap and unpack we hit the town heading straight for the famous Dublin castle. The castle is beautiful and a great place to soak up some Irish history. I would recommend getting the guided tour if possible as it provides so much more insight into the building and allows you to hear all the cheeky stories that took place within the building. All I can say is I felt sorry for Caroline of Brunswick that day.

After the castle visit we needed some serious re-fuelling. We found a great noodle place called The Ramen Bar which is a must visit for an Asian food lover like me. To find out more about the 'best ramen in Dublin' and a whole host of other amazing eateries - check out the Let's Eat! section of the blog.

“Experience the city from above at the Guinness sky bar"

Get Boozy

On our second day we walked head first into the Temple Bar area. Temple bar is full of unique pubs, art shops and some great looking eateries. After a short walk we found the famous Temple Bar pub in temple bar WOW inception. We walked in thinking it was a small place but after walking through room after room of people we realised it was HUGE.The whole experience was topped off by hearing a man with a guitar singing Oasis - classic. Definitely a must do visit if you are in this area.

After the walking the streets of Dublin we finally made it to the notorious Guinness factory. The building from the outside is breath taking and just like the set of the Peaky Blinders. Inside you can stand in the middle of the worlds largest Guinness glass ... unfortunately you can't have a pint that size. The way the factory brings in modern technology to tell the story of Guinness makes the tour great for all ages. During the tour you learn how Guinness is brewed, marketed and transported with a few cheeky pints thrown in along the way. You can also take part in Tasting the guinness, placing your face on top of the guinness foam (a stoutie) and experience the city from above at the Guinness sky bar. We reached the sky bar after dark and it makes the view even more beautiful.

I would say rush down but you've got 9000 years of guinness being brewed at that location to come.
