With the Corona virus hitting the world harder than we could have even imagined and countries being placed under lock down it is leaving the world bored, lonely and it just makes you appreciate how much we took for granted before this pandemic all started. This post does come with a sad side as I am aware that people have lost jobs, become very ill and lost lives in the worst cases. It shows the importance of people needing to stay in isolation so we as a country can say bye bye to corona.
So as a small helping hand from me I thought I would write a list of 10 things that can keep people busy whilst in self isolation and of course keeping everyone safe. #stayhomestaysafe
10. Work from home.
For all those who can work from home... I for one can't so if you are like me maybe this isn't for you but keep reading - I am sure you can find something on this list helpful. But those who can it is very important that we keep businesses running during the lock down period or you could find that you don't have a job to return to when the world goes back to normality. Conference calls, emails and admin work is all important even though to some it may seem a waste of time. AB'S addition: Just because you are working from home doesn't mean you should be a slob. Try doing dress up Friday, its simple get out your trackies, have a shower and make yourself feel good.

9. Educate yourself.
Have you ever wanted to learn to speak a new language, learn to play an instrument or even fancied educating yourself in areas where you really lack the knowledge? Well surely there is no time like the present. With hours to waste you can learn German, french or Maori if that tickles your fancy. "Ich habe Google Translate nicht verwendet". If you brought a guitar and its just been sat in the corner for months on end. Whack it out! Start singing kumbaya with your neighbours. Just make sure you are using this time wisely. There would be nothing worse than going back to work when this is all over and your friendly work colleague Janet asks "oh what have you been up to over the last month" and not being able to say "Well Janet let me show you" as you whack out your Guitar and start singing Tokio Hotel - Automatisch. You're welcome.
8. Write a Blog
Day 3 under the Dome. You can write about anything in a blog, for example your travels, your interior design ideas or just what has been happening during your isolation period. It doesn't matter if people don't read it. It can be for your use or you can share it with the world. Be creative people!
7. Keep connected.
During this quite lonely period we need to make sure we stick together. Make sure you give grandparents a call so they know you are there for a chat. But please make sure you are staying safe whilst doing things. Face time your friends for a coffee morning or even have dinner over Skype with a loved one. We need to all be there for each other.
6. Watch Movies
With multiple video streaming services like Netflix and Now TV out there you will now have the time to watch more movies than you can shake a stick at. Watch the trilogy you wanted to watch for years, Rewatch Mama Mia because you loved it or even watch that three hour film you could never watch because it would end too late. The time is NOW!
Ab's Addition: Become a movie review blog page and share your thoughts and feelings on movies you watch. Obviously you would think highly of the Terminator series.
5. Read a book or listen to pod casts
How many of you have at least 5 books sat on your bedside table just waiting to be read. I know I do! I will be taking this isolation time to just chill out and read books that I just don't have time to read during my normal everyday life. Pod casts are also a great idea to listen too. Also comes under my education Idea. Why not listen to a fitness podcast to help keep you up to speed with the best ways to keep healthy and fit during these hard times.

4. Work on a home renovation
With all this time on your hands why are you not decorating that spare room? Why are you not putting up that nice picture that gran got you for Christmas? Why are you not redecorating that boring wall in your bedroom. There is so much inspiration online to make your house look like something out of Elle Decor. Use that tin of unused paint in the shed. Take a browse on the infamous Pinterest to spark an idea or find a hashtag on Instagram to see all the most 'grammable snaps - who knows maybe yours will be one of those in the future!

3. Get Fancy in the kitchen
Welcome to your own Great British bake off where you can bake until your heart is full and your living room smells like burnt chocolate chip cookies. You can also take part in a video chat come dine with me. Show off your cooking skills and make yourself that banging Chinese meal that only is worthy for the gods AKA you. You can even get fancier and have a happy hour with your flatmate or partner. Nothing like a Pina Colada whilst sat on the sofa in your trackies. Well I could definitely think of something better but at this point in time we can't do much better.
2. Bring out the old school video games
From old school games like James Bond Nightfire to The Sims 4 there is so much you can do in the current world of gaming. In just 24 hours I can make my Sim an astronaut, become a drafted player in the NBA on NBA 2K20 or bring out the PS2 that has been stuck in the loft for 7 years and recreate my childhood on Simpsons Hit and Run. Most Gaming systems now have the ability to purchase and download the latest games within minutes (depending on how good your internet is). So what are you waiting for? The sims wont woo hoo themselves you know.
1. Get fit
So the gym is shut, you are bored and all we can do is eat our feelings away. WRONG! Home workouts are 100% a possibility for everyone. If you have knowledge when going to the gym there is no reason why you cant do workouts in your garden or in your front room. Write your own plan and swap out gym items (if you don't have them) to normal house

hold items. You can also find hundreds of fitness classes online and on YouTube. Even Zac Efron has a gym channel - check it out ;)
Personal trainers would also love to help! As all gyms are now shut they will be looking to help out new or old clients. I am sure if you can't sort something out yourself they would be able to help by writing up a plan or I have seen some do live streams and video calls. Some may charge though as it there job and still need to make money. Use this time wisely and try to treat each day like you normally would. No slobbing around - make your new motto "We are all going to be so ripped after coming out of Lock down".
So there you have it! 10 simple things that can be done whilst in self isolation to give you some sanity in this crazy time. But I will really express that everyone should keep safe at the moment. Don't go out unless necessary and remember to think of your mental health just as much as your physical. Until next time bro's.
Keep updated on Instagram.
